Liquid phase electron microscopy (LPEM) refers to a class of methods for imaging specimens in liquid with nanometer spatial resolution using electron microscopy. LPEM overcomes the key limitation of electron microscopy: since the electron optics requires a high vacuum, the sample must be stable in a vacuum environment. This Gordon Research Conference aims discussing the latest research results, advances in method, and future directions of LPEM.

The 14th Multination Congress on Microscopy will be organized in Belgrade (Serbia), from 15 to 20 Sptember 2019.

The aim of MCM conferences is to become a worldwide forum for discussion on different application of various microscopical techniques for both experts and young researchers. MCM conferences have always been a good instrument for establishment of new liaisons between laboratories interested in similar projects. Trade exhibitions also helped to gain insight into the newest development of microscopy.

The conference will discuss in depth the mechanisms of interaction between new chemical-biological formulations and biophysical systems to improve the transport of drugs into normal and tumor cells. The enhancement of the therapeutic efficiency of a system of nanometric dimensions requires the development of new skills, within planning strategies leading to the expansion and sharing of Remarksknowledge in a multidisciplinary environment.
